Up for sale is a 1975 15 foot ouachita aluminum boat. i recently upgraded the decking and seats. decking is treated lumber with marine carpeting. boat comes with evinrude 6hp tiller drive. it is approximately the same age as the boat and runs perfectly. both seats have easy detach swivel mounts and the tall one is adjustable as well.. I'm trying to find one like that for my dad, he likes sitting down in the boat rather than up high on a deck. there is a mod on this site where a guy really went all out fixing up that same model boat. just do a search for ouachita a lot will come up but you should get some ideas.. Re: ouachita jon boat max hp sloopy is pretending to know something again. this is one he doesn't. your boat is probably rated at 10 to 25hp, depending on whether it is a light duty or a heavy duty boat. the uscg site has formulae for calculating safe hp. good luck..

Of course i can't buy a mainstream brand lmao i got an ouachita aluminum 14' can anyone give me a history on the company? all i know about them is that they were big into tri hull bass boats in the 70's.
