The transom consisted of 2 sheets 3/4" plus a 1/2" plate where the inner gimble mounted. bond the plywood together with waterproof adhesive which can be screwed together or weighted heavily until cured.. Measure and cut replacement transom with lvl engineered structural beam. My son is redoing a wooden transom in an aluminum duck hunting boat. it is a 18'x60" with a 60hp motor. his plan is to bond a couple of sheets of plywood together with epoxy resin and then coat the assembly with resin to waterproof and then paint..

One non-invasive way of raising the transom on an aluminum boat is to create a "lift" — a bracket that fits over the transom — to increase the motor's height. the completed bracket forms a channel, and the top of the channel holds the top of the outboard bracket a few inches above the transom of the boat.. That boat looks like a lot more work than just a transom, and it looks like fiberglass, not aluminum. unless of course you really want a project to do. haven’t seen the boat in person but it’s advertised as aluminum..
